The Royal Canadian Dragoons (RCD), based in Petawawa, is one of the oldest
and most distinguished armoured regiments in the Canadian Army. Founded in 1855,
the regiment has a storied history of service in both peacekeeping and combat
operations worldwide. The RCD is currently part of the 2nd Canadian Division and
specializes in armoured reconnaissance and combat operations. Known for its
