Rideau Center Parking Garage
Duron Services completely restored the Rideau Centre parking garage with 53,700 square feet of mastic asphalt and hot rubber membrane, 620 feet of expansion joints, trench drains, catch basins, 1,150 square feet of sidewalks with traffic topping, all new railings, 100kg+ of epoxy coated rebar, and finally over 170 square metres of concrete to the slabs, storage areas, soffits, walls, and columns.
Place De Ville Electrical Vault

The location seen in the attached image used to be several parking spots under Place de Ville. Behind those doors Duron built a new vault that was required to provide power to Ottawa’s new LRT. The project entailed, fire alarm, electrical, ventilation and a 2 hour fire separation on all sides of the vault including the ceiling. The ceiling required a special anchoring system for the electrical equipment along with a steel deck installed on the ceiling.
Marriott Hotel Vault
Duron was asked by Campbell Kennedey to step in when their original civil trades sub contractor backed out of their commitment.
Duron provided block walls, overhead garage doors, concrete repairs, fire rated enclosures and openings through 3 floors of the hotel and structural steel to support an exhaust stack.
The Carleton Icehouse was equipped with many new upgrades that span across the entire building. A new EDPM roofing system was applied to the perimeter of the roof and all parapets. All around the outside of the building was updated with new drains, downspouts, localized plywood & masonry repairs, sealants, and control joints. Now this gorgeous educational landmark will be home to Duron’s fine general contracting work.

Rehabilitation of the parking garage at the Varette building included extensive concrete and waterproofing work. Extensive concrete repairs were done to slabs, concrete soffits, columns, walls, and curbs. All drains throughout the garage were replaced and all elevated slabs were given a new thin-system traffic topping.
Cleland Jardine Engineering Ltd.
The Denbury condominium’s parking garage was restored with various repairs being completed. Structural repairs were made to; concrete slab on grade, elevated concrete slabs, concrete soffits, concrete slab edge, concrete walls/columns, and new expansion joints. Other major repairs consisted of new lightweight traffic topping, new drains around the building and replacement of all cladding and security screens. This project is also home to carbon fiber wrapped concrete columns; this is some of Duron Services specialized structural rehabilitation.
Our amazing concrete crew pumped, placed, and finished all interior slabs, stage slabs, ramps, slabs on deck, stairs on pan and all stage stairs. These were all completed with saw cutting control joints and installed carborundum strips. All floors were also sealed in an acrylic sealer.
John Mlacak Arena
The concrete division equipped the long-standing John G. Mlacak rink with a new rink slab (approximately 15,200 SF), monolithic curb, apron slabs (2,765 SF) and header trench openings. The rink slab was finished with a dry shake hardener, densifier and when completed, produced FF40 & FL30 ratings.
Ron Eastern Construction Ltd.
This project had an abundance of Duron work done to it. All foundation walls were given full waterproofing systems; membrane, drainage board, insulation, flashing and cement board. Elevator pits, sump pits and cisterns were properly waterproofed with cementitious waterproofing. All columns, footings, and raft slabs were sealed with a silane sealer.
As for roofing, we completed all roofs across the entire building. Main roofs and podium deck were completed with a 2-ply hot rubberized roofing system, and all canopies and miscellaneous roofs were completed with a 2-ply modified bitumen roofing system.
Duron also equipped this gorgeous building with a full traffic topping system throughout all parking Garage.
99 Fifth Street
All roofing and terrace areas were given a full 2-ply hot rubberized roofing system. This includes Drains, Hot rubber membrane, tapered insulation, rigid insulation, drainage board, protection board, stone ballast, filter cloth, granular, concrete pavers, etc. The roof parapets were completed with; wood blocking, plywood, insulation, Blueskin, Flashing, metal parapet copings, scuppers, and trims.
IronClad Tenth Line Road
This project was done by our concrete crew at tenth line road. This was a new residential midrise building being constructed. Our concrete crew poured the entire mud slab. Approximately 10,000-12,500 Square feet.
Maple Leaf Property Managment
The Skyline parking garage was restored with multiple structural repairs. Rehabilitation of; the top surface of concrete slab, structural steel throughout slabs, concrete cracking on slabs, and all new drains helped bring this parking garage back to life.
Claridge Icon received a full 2-ply hot rubberized waterproofing system to all the podium deck, terrace, and roofing areas. This amazing building is also home to some of Duron’s custom parapet work that can be seen on the terraces of the very top floors. This project will stand in Ottawa’s skyline forever as a staple of Duron’s amazing workmanship.

Our concrete crew pumped, placed, and finished 4 rink slabs (roughly 16,500 SF each), 115,000 square feet of apron slabs on grade, 105,000 square feet of man concourse slabs on deck, and 10,000 square feet of seating/ bleacher slabs on deck. We completed these slabs with joint filler and installed a sika densifier within the Zamboni path.
